After the numerous revelations last week about the NSA and their ability to subvert the encryption methods we trust to protect our personal privacy, Commissioner Cavoukian weighed in with her thoughts. The Commissioner expressed her deep concern that so much effort was being spent to watch the public and was appalled at how little we have known up until this point. She then illustrates why we need greater transparency and accountability regarding government surveillance.
